Student Attendance

School attendance plays a critical role in enhancing the lives of students in schools. Every day of attendance adds to a student’s academic achievement and success at school, and conversely every absence, can impact their learning and progress.

Regular late arrivals to school and early afternoon pick up times can also have an impact on a child’s academic progress.

Consistent attendance not only improves student outcomes but helps students build

relationships and confidence.

Reasons for student absence must be provided within 7 days of the absence via COMPASS. A Student Attendance Plan may be implemented for those students who have consistent late arrivals and early dismissal times from school.

Tell Them From Me Survey

Over the coming weeks we will be inviting students (Years 4-6), teachers and parents to provide feedback on their experience of our school using an online survey - Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning Survey. The survey is an important part of our whole school evaluation and planning process.

The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Parents are able to access the parent survey on your computer or mobile device by clicking on this link or using the URL below:

http://tellthemfromme.com/fatima25

Note: The survey will close on Friday 13th  June.

Student participants in the survey are provided with a random username and password to access and complete the survey online. Individual names cannot be linked to responses which allows it to be completely anonymous.

Results will show all combined scores for each group – it is not possible to single out individuals in the results.

If you do not wish for your child/children to complete the survey please inform your child's class teacher by completing the Student Survey Permission Letter which will available on Compass for your consent from Tuesday 27th May and is to be completed by Friday 30th May.

Parking

Parents and Carers, please be reminded that there is no parking onsite during any school events or for drop off and pick up.

The school has had feedback from the OLF Preschool and Long Daycare Centre that parents are parking in allocated parking spots that are for pre-school staff and their parents ONLY.

This not only affects the safety of the children attending the Preschool, but also prevents staff from having access to their allocated parking spots.

You are also reminded not to park in the school administration visitors car park during drop off or pick up times. Parents are asked to park off site and walk into the school during these times.

School Uniform

Students are now required to wear their winter uniform.

* Please make sure all uniform items have your child's name on it, i.e. Hats, and Jackets as we can not return lost items if there is no name on them.

Girl’s winter uniform: School tunic/navy pants with a long sleeve shirt and navy tights or socks.

All students are required to wear a hat every day.

Students are reminded to wear their sports uniform only on designated sports days.
