Congratulations to Our Aussie of the Month Award Recipients – April 2025

We are proud to congratulate our three outstanding students who have been named Aussie of the Month for April!

 

These students have consistently demonstrated our school values and learner qualities in everything they do. Through their positive attitude, dedication, and respectful behaviour, they have set a wonderful example for their peers and made a meaningful contribution to our school community.

 

Your efforts have not gone unnoticed – well done on this well-deserved recognition! Keep up the fantastic work, and continue to lead with kindness, responsibility, and a commitment to learning.

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassador Initiative - Adopt-a-spot

  • Our aim and primary focus is to reduce the amount of litter in designated areas at Lockleys North Primary School. 
  • Each class will take responsibility for maintaining a specific area within the school. 
  • This will ultimately contribute to a cleaner and more pleasant environment for everyone.

CE Student Forums

Exciting Opportunities in Terms 2 and 3: Learner Agency Networks

An update on our CE Network meeting. We will be collaborating with the following schools. 

 

Network Meetings:

  • Platform: MS Teams
  • Meeting Dates: Monday 2 June & Monday 25 August 10-11am
  • Schools in Your Network: McDonald Park School, Robe Primary School (lead), McLaren Vale Primary School

 

 

The focus of the networks will be learning and performance modes within and beyond the classroom. Understanding these concepts will help teachers and students better understand their roles in the learning process. 

 

These discussions will again be via a video link that our students will access.

Active Lunch

The Active Lunch program at Lockleys North has been thriving. Students are enthusiastically participating in a variety of activities designed to promote physical fitness and social interaction. The program has successfully engaged students across different year levels, encouraging them to stay active and enjoy their break times.  Our Active Lunch Ambassadors have been doing a terrific job in helping facilitate through the setting up of activities and playing with the students. 

  • Rowell and Mellor: Monday
  • Torrens: Wednesday 
  • Fisher: Friday

PARACHUTE CLUB

We’re excited to launch the Parachute Club for Rowell and Mellor students! This fun and engaging club will be run by a team of Student Ambassadors and Upper Primary students, offering a great opportunity to build teamwork, leadership, and outdoor play.

  • Rowell Students: Thursdays at recess on the grass area outside the Rowell building
  • Mellor Students: Thursdays at lunch on the oval near the gym

LNPS NEWS VIDEOS

We are excited to announce that once a month, we will be producing an LNPS news video. These videos will be showcased at our assemblies and then uploaded to the school's YouTube channel for everyone to enjoy. We are aiming to release our first video at the start of Term 2. Stay tuned for more updates!
