I was like a proud parent the other day when the wonderful Foundation students completed their first written Recount, a story called 'On The Weekend'. It was a magical moment watching 5 year old people put pencil to paper and tell us what they did on the weekend. Below is a sample of some students' work. Enjoy!

Maddy ~ On the weekend I went to the cake stall.
Tehiva ~ On the weekend my mum bought me a chocolate cake.
Hayley ~ On the weekend I went to a party and I had ice-cream.
Kayleigh ~ On the weekend I went to the cake stall to buy some cookies.
Michael ~ On the weekend I stayed at home.

Year 1

This week in year 1 the students worked with the foundation students to create their won Monsters. There were great discussions arund what they WISHED their monsters would be like. They also wrote about them.

Year 2/3

Hi all, another busy week is class. Thank you to the families that helped to provide or sell cakes last weekend, you all did a great job. This week it was a class record, the children received the most amount of stars on Tuesday then ever before. This record was noted by Lance who create a sign. I hope you enjoy the weekend and I will maybe see you at the working bee on Saturday.

Year 3/4

This week Riyon shared his Kalimba with us, playing a song. He played so well, the students were able to recognise the song he was playing.

This week the Year 4's got new chromebooks.  Thank you Mark, Rosetta and Thach for organising the chromebooks for us.

Olivia - The new chrome books are quicker to start and log in. I like the pattern on the front. Thank you Rosetta, Mark and Thach.

Tazlyn - We know we are not allowed to put food or drinks near the chrome books. When we shut down you need to log out and shut down and not just press the button or close the screen. I am really happy for the new chrome books as I can find my account quicker and the keys only need to be pressed softly rather than hard or twice.

Suzie - The new chrome book are better quality and I feel happy and excited to be able to use them. They start faster which means we can start our work quicker. Thank you Rosetta, Mark and Thach for getting us new chrome books as the old chrome book keys were falling out and we couldn’t use all the keys.

Viraj - The new chrome books work faster, therefore we can get our work done faster. I really appreciate Mark, Rosetta and Thach for getting the new chrome books.

Jazlyn - Thank you Rosetta, Mark and Thach for buying us new chrome books as the ones we were using were 6 years old.

Parade Soccer Report - Year 4

We do soccer at Parade and the boys there are really funny. Our coaches are Coach William and Coach Elliot. Every 3 minutes we stop and do a rotation. There are 4 rotations, 3 of the rotations go for 12 mins and 1 rotation goes for 13 mins. We are there for 1 hour.  We go every Wednesday for 6 weeks. By Aylah and Georgia.

Soccer was really fun, my favourite thing was the soccer match and playing octopus.

My favourite thing in soccer was when there were girls in the match and I was goalie and my team won. By Suzie
