Secondary Sub School Rooms 19 - 27

Hello everyone!

I have had a great time stepping in for Bill. The secondary students work so hard on their learning!

In Weeks 7 and 8 students have showcased lots of work. Mathematics learning has focussed on topics such as money, data and counting.   In literacy, students have been working on writing, reading and much more! It has been great to see lots of interesting patterns in student art work. A highlight was SAKG where students made Quesadillas. 

Some reminders:

• Camp Questionnaires: We are currently collecting these, accurate information is crucial for planning and ensuring a successful camp experience for all students. Please make sure to submit your forms promptly.
• Production for Secondary is Wednesday September 18
• Subway Lunch is Wednesday September 18 - Footy Dress up day
• House Colours Day - Disco Day

Enjoy the last couple of weeks of term!

Room 24

Room 24 have enjoyed a really great term so far. One of the highlights was going to the Arts Center for a workshop about making DJ music. Students used their travel skills to take the train to and from the city. Students have been to interschools sports at the State Netball centre. In mathematics we have been working on money and statistics. In literacy students have worked on writing a narrative, reading comprehension, spelling and grammar and speaking and listening. Learning about resilience, emotions, positive coping, stress management, student voice,  agency and self-regulation has remained a priority. It is great to see students taking movement breaks, engaging with their interests and communicating their thoughts, opinions and feelings. Amazing work Room 24, the staff are exceptionally proud of you.
