We the community members of Launching Place Primary School acknowledge the traditional owners, the Kulin nations, of the land on which we learn and play.

We pay respects to the Aboriginal Elders, past and present, who are our teachers.

We thank them for taking care of children and country for countless generations.

 

Community Pantry

Please remember to utilize the resources provided by the Community Pantry located in the school foyer.

Everyone is welcome to help themselves.

  Lunch orders

Lunch orders areevery Thursday

Luch orders need to be in a well named bag with correct monies.

Upper Yarra Secondary college pick upi the lunch orders at 9.10am on Thursdays.

 

Breakfast Club runs every Wednesday and Thursday from 8.10 - 8.40 (limited menu after 8.30).  All welcome!

Parent helpers are most welcome to pop in and give a lending hand.

 

Impact Dental

The week of the 12th- 16th of August we had Impact Dental at our school. 

The school dentist from Impact Mobile Dental Services came to our school to provide ​ preventative dental care, including check-ups, prophy and fluoride therapy.

Dads and Mates Breakfast

​We are pleased to announce that a breakfast event for fathers and special friends is scheduled for the morning of Friday August 30th. We hope all dads or special friend can join us to enjoy a meal together from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM.

Available Fruit for students

Fruit is provided by Foodbank for the students to be able to eat fruit at snack attack time 10.00am each day. teachers fill their bowls up with fruit to take to the classroom for any student to eat. Thank you Foodbank.

 

 

By law, smoking and the use of e-cigarettes (vaping) is banned within the grounds of, and within four metres of an entrance to all kindergartens and schools at all times. No matter whether the building or school grounds are being used for education purposes or other purposes.The smoking and vaping ban applies to:

All activities that take place on school premises including outside hours care, cultural, sporting or recreational activities.

All school events and excursions held off school premises.

Anyone present on school premises during and outside of school hours including students, teachers, contractors, parents or carers or the wider community, such as sporting groups.

Signs will be displayed at all entrances to the school and vaping / cigarette sensors are in place around the school to ensure the safety of our students.The Department of Education has developed resources to help you learn more about the health risks of smoking and vaping. The resources include advice about how to talk to children and young people about vaping, and where to get support.
