Parents and Friends
P&F Committee:
All are welcome to join our school P&F Committee! If you would like to be involved but are unable to attend the monthly meetings due to work or other commitments, please feel free to e mail me and I will add you to the group.
Next P&F Meeting:
Wednesday 18th September at 2pm, prior to school pick up time.
Please meet at the school office. All welcome!
Toast:
Toast is available each morning for all students who would like some extra fuel before they begin the school day!
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who prepare and serve the toast each morning! If you would like to join the roster please let me know or you can pass your name onto Krystal in the office.
Thank you!
For the past 2 years St Mary’s P & F along with parent helpers have offered toast to the children each morning and the Hot & Crusty Bakery has provided us with the bread. We wish to thank Geraldine at Hot & Crusty, very much for supporting this initiative. That’s a LOT of loaves of bread!!
Thank you also to Bakers Delight for providing us with bread for the time being.
Please support these local businesses as they put so much back into our community.
Recycling:
At St Mary’s this year we are collecting any recyclable cans, bottles and containers marked with the 10cent refund. These will be transported to Chewton Service Station. All money raised will come back to our school to benefit our students whilst strengthening our sustainability practices to contribute to a healthier world. There is a new, blue wheelie bin located down stairs for these to be dropped off.
Student Special Lunch Day
Term 3: Pie/Pastie/Sausage Roll/Quiche Day-Wednesday 4th September:
Looking forward to this yummy special lunch day next week!
Students who are not having a lunch order are to bring along their own school lunch as per usual.
Please note-the casual sport/team colours dress day is on the final day of term, not on this special lunch day as previously advertised.
School Fair 2024:
Sunday 20th October. 11:30am-3:30pm We are less than two months away!
This will be our major fundraiser for the year.
Our next fair committee meetings will be held on Wednesday 4th September, Wednesday 18th September, Wednesday 9th October and Wednesday 16th October all at 7pm at school in the staff room. There will be a Google meet link set up and released on each day of these meetings for those who would like to join from home.
We need your help to ensure this year’s fair is a successful and enjoyable event! Let’s share in the organisation and preparation! Please return the fair form that came home with your child to the school office asap if you have not done so already. We are still seeking coordinators for some stalls, volunteers to work shifts and donations of different items to different stalls. Please tick where you can assist and add your name and contact number to enable the coordinator to then contact you when planning and organising the stall. If you require another form, please ask at the office. Thank you to everyone who has returned their form with offers of support!
School Fair-P&F Hamper Stall
The P&F Committee are running a Hamper stall at this year’s fair. This stall involves different themed hampers including chocolate, tea, coffee, pamper style, gardening, kids hamper all set up on display. On fair day, tickets can be purchased and those tickets can then be placed in the different raffle boxes which will be placed in front of the different hampers…choose the hamper you would like to win! The raffles are drawn towards the end of the day!
We are seeking donations of items to be placed in these hampers. If you are able to donate any items for these hampers, please leave at the office in the box labelled “School Fair-hamper stall items.”
Thank you for your support!
Rock n Roll Dance:
Thank you to the wonderful parent helpers who gave their time to assist with the running of the dance last Saturday evening! With your support, the event ran smoothly. It was wonderful to see some of our families in attendance. We hope you enjoyed yourselves! Stay tuned for the next dance perhaps next year…we’re thinking a bush dance!
