PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Mrs Jillian Rainger
jrainger@arm.catholic.edu.au
It was lovely to see so much enjoyment with our Book Week celebrations. Thank you to Mrs Fraser, our Librarian for all her efforts. Special thanks to our families who assisted with encouragement and talent in costume design. A big thank you to our students for their enthusiasm. Two of my favourite photos attached.
Last week I attended the Term 3 ACSO Principal's Meeting in Tamworth. As part of our reflection, we read this quote by Pope Francis. It spoke to me about the importance of hope. At times it can seem daunting to have hope in our world. As Catholics, having hope is fundamental to our faith life. As a principal, I have hope for all our students that they "may have life and have it to the full" which is our school motto. It comes from the Gospel of John and reminds us to live our life with hope.
Here are Pope Francis' words.
"Christian hope sustains the journey of our lives,
even when the road ahead seems winding and exhausting.
It opens our eyes to future possibilities
whenever resignation or pessimism attempts to imprison us.
It makes us see the promise of good
at times when evil seems to prevail.
Christian hope fills us with serenity
when our hearts are burdened by sin and failure.
It makes us dream of a new humanity
and gives us courage
in our efforts to build a fraternal and peaceful world,
even when it seems barely worth the effort."
I hope your week goes well!

There will be two sessions for families in the hall.

5:30pm-6:20pm
See the flyer attached. Use the QR to register questions you would like to ask.
Father's Day Breakfast
We would love our dads and pops to come to have a bacon/sausage and egg roll next Friday 30 August to celebrate Father's Day. A flyer with an RSVP was sent home last week to be returned by Tuesday 27 to help with catering. It is a great morning for our dads and our students.
The P and F will be running the Father's Day Stall on Friday 30 August in the hall.
Our Annual School Survey is coming
We really value your feedback and would love you to fill out the survey. The annual satisfaction survey of parents, students and staff will be conducted on behalf of all Catholic schools in the Diocese over the coming weeks. The survey has been updated and there are less questions to respond to. The surveys are designed to gather feedback from parents, staff and students about our school and will be used to inform school improvement. Responses are confidential, and individuals can not be identified. The surveys were launched via email on yesterday using the email addresses supplied to the school. If you do not receive an email with a link to the survey, you can access and complete the survey via the following link. https://www.research.net/r/HolyTrinityInverellPARENT2024 The survey will close on Wednesday, 4 September 2024.
Summer uniform
Due to the forecasted temperatures over the coming days, we have decided to begin the optional wearing of summer uniform from tomorrow Wednesday 28 August. Either winter or summer uniforms can be worn until the end of Term 3. Summer uniform is compulsory in Term 4. Please remember students must wear one or the other not a combination of both uniforms. Jackets and jumpers can be worn with both uniforms. Year 6 girls may purchase a secondary summer tunic in Term 4 if they need a new summer tunic.
Please remember hoodies are for secondary students only.
