Each newsletter we will be introducing you all to a new maths vocabulary word for you to learn beginning with the word, modelling!

Modelling

Mathematical modelling involves using various approaches to represent real-world situations in such a way that reduces a problem to its essential characteristics.

Victorian Curriculum 2.0:

Teachers at Westgrove have been busy this term familiarising themselves with the new Maths Victorian Curriculum 2.0 that will be fully implemented in 2025.  In our Teaching & Learning Priority Teams we have been developing a scope & sequence for each year level Prep to Year 6.
