PBL (Positive Behaviour for Learning)

We are delighted to share with you our newly revised and revamped Positive Behaviours (PBL) matrix, our Student Behaviour Chart and our Behaviour Management Flowchart. They continue to be a work in progress and we are very proud of them so far. Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a whole-school framework that promotes positive behaviour across the school and helps students develop safe and supportive learning environments. It is where students are explicitly taught the expected behaviours and where we establish clear and consistent boundaries. Staff all take a proactive, preventative approach to ensure all students receive the appropriate level of support to help them to be successful at school. It is an exciting time for us to launch this new version and we know that our students will benefit greatly from this additional school wide framework.

1. Behaviour Expectation Matrix

These are our school wide expectations and displayed and taught in every learning space.

2. Behaviour Management Flow Chart

These are the guidelines for staff to support positive behaviour within their learning spaces. They are designed to be a clear step  by step process for all to follow.

3. Student Behaviour Chart

This chart is designed to simplify the Behaviour Management Flow Chart and is displayed in all of the classrooms for the children.

The Resilience Project

I am very excited to announce that St John’s will be a part of The Resilience project for 2025. This whole school wellbeing program teaches and supports positive mental health in the classroom and wider community and aligns with the Respectful Relationships program that we are currently teaching.
