We have come to the last newsletter of the year. I want to personally thank all the teachers, students and parents for their hard work and smiling faces this year.
We have achieved so much and the quality of learning that I see when I visit your classes is fantastic.
I want to thank all the families for their support of the swimming program. We are looking into the schedule for next year - how many sessions, which pool and what time of the year. I welcome any feedback parents have about the program as it helps me to make sure that the program we book is best suited to CNPS.
Thanks to all teachers for the effort you put into making sure that the sessions ran smoothly and successfully - transporting 200 students throughout the day for two weeks is a big accomplishment and I appreciate the work behind the scenes to make sure that the sessions ran smoothly.
Over the last two weeks I have had the pleasure of working with a number of students to harvest the cherries that had ripened in our garden. We had quite the feast!
It was lovely to see and hear the respectful way students worked together to collect and distribute the cherries amongst the classes.
The students in Foundation have been learning the words for cat and dog. We completed a learning task that required tracing and rewriting the words neko (cat) and inu (dog). Students displayed great determination and a fantastic 'have a go' attitude in their first real attempts at writing in Hiragana.
Our end-of-year Book Fair has been a great success. Thanks to all the families who made purchases. We get reward points for all our sales which allow us to make resource purchases throughout the year.
Thank you also to all the staff who helped to run the stall throughout the week.
Book fair and book club will return in 2025.
