Year 7 Camp
On Wednesday, February 7th, 50 excited and nervous Year 7 students set off for a coastal camp. The first day, which was quite windy, began at Port Fairy with swimming and a walk around Griffith Island. The day continued with a beach walk along the road due to high tide, wrapping up the first day of adventure.
The second day included a mix of caving, surfing, and a visit to the Petrified Forest and Blow Hole. Every student caught a wave, and most were able to stand up. Some had spectacular wipe outs in the waves, but it was all part of the fun! While some students were initially hesitant about going into the cave, all of them entered the cave's entrance, with the option to go further underground depending on their comfort level. Crawling through the "mouse trap" and "superman" sections was no problem for the students, who eagerly wriggled through.
The camp concluded with a visit to the Mt Richmond sand dunes, where the trek to the top was rewarded by thrilling rides down on sandboards.
This camp was packed with excitement, adventure, and unforgettable moments for everyone involved!
Students left Baimbridge as primary school students and returned on Friday afternoon as BAIMBRIDGE COLLEGE students!
