Thank you to all the students, who have returned their permission slips to become altar servers for the Holy Rosary Parish in 2025. Our current Grade 6 Altar services spoke so well about their personal experiences that we were overwhelmed by the number of responses received. WORLD DAY OF THE POOR - 17TH NOVEMBER

This Sunday Pope Francis will be will officially begin the celebrations of world day of the Poor with Holy Mass, in St Peter’s Basilica. This event was established 8 years ago, in 2017 by Pope Franics as a project of help and hope. The motto chosen by the Pope for this year's focus is taken from the book of Sirach: "The prayer of the poor rises to God" (Sirach 21:5). This passage emphasises that the poor hold a special place in God's heart. He hears their prayers and becomes "impatient" in their suffering until justice is done. The Book of Sirach confirms that "God's judgment will be in favour of the poor" (21:5).
