Principal's Report

Term 4

The 2024 school year is nearing the end and I am sure everyone is really looking forward to a well-earned break. Thank you to the school community for your engagement and continued support as we work together in supporting the education of our students.

In recent weeks it has been fantastic to share in all of our students’ successes in the various section events and presentations, celebrating the fantastic work our students have undertaken throughout this year, striving to reach their personal best each day.

Graduations

We are looking forward to celebrating our Year 12 Graduation this Thursday evening. We will be celebrating the ending of our Year 12’s schooling journey and sharing their aspirations and dreams for the next chapter in their lives. We wish all of our graduating students all the very best for the future.

Next week, we will also be celebrating the Year 6 students at their Year 6 Graduation. This will signify the completion of the students’ Primary years of education and moving to the Secondary section of the school and the new experiences they will encounter as they develop into young adults.

Transition

Next Tuesday the 10th of December is our Transition Day across the school. Students will spend most of the day with their new class in their 2025 classroom. Please note that this is subject to change, particularly as we finalise any new enrolments for next year. On this day we will be welcoming all the new 2025 students and families to our school to take part in this transition program and for these new families to meet key staff members within the school.

All current students will again have a second transition session in the morning of Wednesday the 11th of December to further build their familiarity with their new class.

2024 Community Concert

Thank you to all those who attended and participated in our 2024 Community Concert. Each year it is such a special day where we are able to share performances from sections and our student and staff bands. I was unfortunately absent on the day, however all of the feedback from the students has been overwhelmingly positive and they are always so proud to showcase themselves to their friends and family.

Thank You

I would like to thank all of the staff at Concord School for your dedication in ensuring our students are ‘the best they can be’. Thanks also to our parents and carers who work so hard to support the students. A very special thank you to our students who continue to inspire us.

We look forward to Friday the 31st of January when we welcome back our students for their first day of 2025.

Please note that as we commence the 2025 school year, we will be running our first SSG of the year for 30 minutes bookings as a Meet the Team on Thursday the 30th of January. This is the day before students will be returning to school. Further details will be communicated in the coming weeks, with bookings to become available during January. This will be communicated by Compass.

I would like to wish everyone a safe and festive break. I hope you enjoy a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
