Congratulations to Team sVc for successfully defending the Coyle-Clingeleffer Cup last week against St Patrick's College in Launceston. The annual Year 8/9 fixture is a wonderful opportunity for our students to represent their School while honoring two outstanding state cricketers from our Colleges: Tim Coyle (SPC) and Sean Clingeleffer (SVC).
SVC batted first and set a formidable target of 6/337 from their 50 overs. Notable performances included Jonty De Cotter (Year 9), who scored an impressive 103 (retired), Zac Pfitzner (Year 9) with 49 runs, Tex Gregg (Year 9) with 38 (retired), Kai Martin (Year 8) with 23 (retired), and Lucas Hodgson 26 (Year 8).
After the innings break, Team SVC came out strong, bowling out SPC for just 67 runs.
Bowling Performance:
Jerry Horne (Year 8): 4 wickets for 7 runs in 3 overs.
Josh Wilson (Year 9): 2 wickets for 18 runs in 3 overs.
Zac Pfitzner (Year 9): 1 wicket for 10 runs in 4 overs, along with 4 catches.
Jake Beams (Year 8): 1 wicket for 10 runs in 5 overs.
Jonty De Cotter (Year 9): 1 wicket for 4 runs in 2 overs.
Jerry Horne (Year 8): 1 wicket for 2 runs in 1 over.

Well done, boys, and a big thank you to staff members Kayden Hine and Thomas Grice!
We look forward to the majority of this squad being joined by our Year 10 students this Thursday and Friday as we participate in the state SATIS T20 Tournament in Launceston. We wish this team all the best!
What an extraordinary weekend of basketball action at the recent Basketball Tasmania Southern Regional Championships!
Team sVc fielded teams in all four boys' divisions, with matches held across three locations: Clarence Sports Centre, Swisherr, and Kingborough Sports Centre.
We made history as Team sVc did not lose a single match all weekend, qualifying for all four Grand Finals and ultimately winning all four championships!
Team sVc has put in a tremendous amount of work and effort since the trials last term. We extend a big thank you to our coaches and managers: Shakira Bone, Shelly Wilton, Belinda Straatsma, Kye Direen, Jaxsyn Collins, Matthew Desmarchelier, Harrison Williams, and Eliza Gerke. Your dedication and commitment to our players are truly unmatched.
We also appreciate the support from all of our parents and supporters, along with Basketball Tasmania, venue managers, referees, and match officials. Thank you!

Congratulations once again to everyone involved! It was truly amazing to witness the talent, passion, and School pride displayed for all to see.
We wish our Division 1 teams the best of luck as they compete in the State Championships in Launceston this weekend.
Congratulations to Team sVc, runners up in both the U14 and U16 Tasmanian Rugby Union Schools 7's competition that wrapped up recently. Both teams showed massive improvement over a short period of time. The future of sVc Rugby is in good hands. Special thanks to David Sanderson and Thymon Venter for their passion and guidance for our boys' Rugby development.
SATIS successfully took over the management of the Touch roster again this year, with great results. The games were held at Wentworth Park, where Team sVc fielded three Year 7/8 teams. Unfortunately, no other schools entered teams in the Year 9/10 division.
Our Year 7/8 teams finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th after the regular season roster matches. Earlier this week, Team sVc Green went down 3-4 to MacKillop in a tense Grand Final, whilst sVc Blue defeated sVc White in the play-off for 3rd. We would like to extend our gratitude to our dedicated team of staff coaches and supervisors for their commitment to allowing our boys to participate in the roster.
