Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship
The position is subject to the student holding a “C” class (manual) licence.
- Casual employment @ 38+ hours per week.
- Opportunity for full-time apprenticeship as a Diesel Mechanic after a successful employment period of 6-12 months if the candidate is suitable.
The candidate will be trained on the job to perform the following duties:
- Construct hydraulic hoses as per sample or by order
- Receive stock
- Counter sales of hydraulic fittings and products
- General workshop duties
- Assist hose technicians and mechanics in the repair of machinery
- Operate a forklift truck (18 yrs plus)

Musesk Institute Technical Officer Level 2
Upcoming position for Farm Technical Officer Level 2 at Muresk Institute, Northam, WA
The Position
Temporary Contract from 3rd February 2025 to 2nd January 2026
Farm Technical Officer Level 2
The Opportunity
The Farm Technical Officer will assist the Farm Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Muresk Institute Farm. This position will support the Farm Manager in coordinating the development and implementation of farm activities to support agricultural education and training programs.
You will be required to help the Farm Manager in a wide range of general agricultural tasks supporting cropping and livestock production systems. Duties may include operating machinery and equipment, assisting in the establishment and harvesting of crops, feeding, mustering, moving and husbandry of livestock. The officer will apply basic mechanics and farm infrastructure maintenance. The officer is also responsible for ensuring the maintenance of some records and registers.
The Officer ensures best practice in interpreting and applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation across farm operations including safe work practices. The Farm Technical Officer will adhere to the Occupational Safety and Health Act requirements in their work area and undertake rostered weekend duties as required.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience in broadacre cropping and livestock production systems and work well in a team environment.
