District Athletics

Well done to the 51 students who participated in the District Athletics event last Thursday. We were delighted to witness our students engaging in friendly competition and exerting themselves to the fullest extent. Additionally, it was remarkable to observe a significant number of students participating in unfamiliar or somewhat anxiety-inducing events. We are highly impressed by the dedication and commitment shown by each and every one of them.

In the 1500m race, Charlie SP deserves a special acknowledgment. While sprinting down the straight, Charlie mistakenly believed it was his final lap, pushing himself to the limit with all his energy, only to realise that he still had another lap to complete.

Charlie persevered and held his ground for an additional 400 metres before giving his maximum effort in the final 50 metres, ultimately securing a second-place finish. Witnessing Charlie maintain his velocity despite his strenuous efforts was truly awe-inspiring. Congratulations on a job well done!
