Brighton Secondary College – Snowy River Students Term 3 2023

Hi everybody at Brighton Secondary and those reading here at Snowy River, this is Xavier from 9L writing to share with you all our Brighton Secondary students experience here so far at Snowy River’s campus for the School for Student Leadership!

Every member of our group has their unique reason they decided to attend this exciting experience, however something that all of our group have in common is that we would love to extend our leadership skills and to try new things. Our highlights so far are surfing at Cape Conran, mountain biking throughout Marlo and getting to know all of the other students from different schools that are participating in the program with us. Some other classes that we have enjoyed include Emotional Management, Environments and DEARR (Drop Everything And Read and Reflect) where we reflect on our day and post it onto our sway blog.

As part of the program here at Snowy River, our school group must create a plan to better our community once we return after our 8 weeks. We hope to inform you all next time about what our Community Learning Project will be.
