INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAM
Excursion to the City (Language Centre)
Our new Language Centre students, and International students, ventured into the city on Tuesday 15th August, travelling by bus, train and tram to visit a range of locations. Not only did they visit the Queen Victoria Markets and Melbourne Central, but also the State Museum, ACMI and Chinatown. They were very enthusiastic about their trip, and all would like to return to the city again.
Victor: We visited the State Library. It’s spacious and palatial, and people who study in there are all quiet. I like that vibe.
Selena: The best things were the lunch food. I ate Japanese food.
Henry L: There was a lot of stuff at the Queen Victoria Market.
Tracy: We went to Queen Victoria Market and bought some hats. I took some pictures for Henry L and Henry T. His hat looked amazing!
Nessa: My highlight is Queen Victoria Market.
Vin: I liked the design of the library.
Vivian: If I was to go to the city again, I would like to go to the Queen Victoria Market to buy donuts to try.
Hanano: My best highlight was taking a tram. It is the first time I have taken a tram. It’s very exciting.
Yeonju: It was interesting to go to ACMI. I can see a lot of work and things about media.
Yuchen: My highlight is going to Melbourne Central at lunch.
Peter: The donuts were delicious.
Mason: I went to the city. It’s wonderful to travel there.
Henry T: “The library was big and beautiful.”
