SUMMIT CAMP - YEAR 9 CAMP

Thank you to everyone who helped support the Year 9 Camp. To the parents who supported their child with managing packing lists, forms and last minute shopping -  I know your child really appreciated it.

Thanks to the support staff who gave up their time to accompany the students and help facilitate the camp. These staff missed out on time with their own families and spent many hours preparing work for the lessons they missed.

I couldn't ask for a more dedicated team.  It's been lovely listening to the students who have shared wonderful reflections on what they learned and enjoyed about camp.

Student Reflection:

"Between the 31st of July and 4th of August, Year 9 went on the Summit Camp in Trafalgar. There were lots of team building challenges and activities designed to overcome fears and step out of our comfort zone. These included obstacle courses, the giant swing, rock climbing, Summit window, walking on nails and the leap of faith. They tested our courage and pushed us to our limits, whilst being super enjoyable. After dinner, we then had a trivia night and a movie night to wind down and finish of our eventful day. One of the last and most exciting activities was the mud run, a team based challenge that involved swimming through rivers, running through mud and completing other tasks with your group. Overall, the camp was a great opportunity to work with new people and develop our collaborative capabilities, and have lots of fun! Thank you to the staff at the Summit Camp and all the teachers who made our camp experience possible."
