Happy Father’s Day to All the Amazing Dads!!
As Father’s Day approaches, we want to take a moment to honour and celebrate all the incredible dads in our Deer Park West Primary School community. Your dedication, love and support play a vital role in shaping the lives of your children.
On this special day, we recognise the efforts you put into being not just a parent, but a friend, mentor, and role model. Your presence at school events, your participation in your child’s education, and the moments you share are very important.
May this Father’s Day be filled with joy, laughter, and wonderful memories with your loved ones.
Thank you to Miss Myall and Ms Cavar for organising the Father’s Day stall and supporting the students in selecting a gift for their dad or significant male. It was lovely to see students taking such care to choose something they thought their dad would appreciate.
No Hat, No Play
We are now back to wearing hats outside during recess, lunch and sport time. Please ensure that your child has their hat from MONDAY, so they can enjoy playing anywhere in the yard. If you need to purchase a hat, please ensure you visit the uniform shop in Derrimut as soon as possible. Academy Uniforms is at 10/85 Mt. Derrimut Road, Deer Park and they are open 9-5pm Monday to Friday and 9-12 on Saturday.
Art
Congratulations to all the students who have completed some amazing pieces of art this term. I am very impressed with your efforts and creativity. Well done to Ms Reid for cultivating a love of art and supporting student to create and display such high-quality art.
1/2 Dinner
The Grade 1/2 dinner is part of our Camping Program. On Thursday night the students enjoyed a variety of fun activities and enjoyed each other’s company in a less formal social situation. I would like to extend my gratitude to the Year 1/2 teachers and the additional staff who volunteered their time to make this event a resounding success. I have included a photo but there will be many more in next week’s newsletter.
Kind regards,
