3/4 Classroom News

Inquiry:

Last week, we celebrated Education Week with a whole-school, 'Around the World' trip. Each class researched a different country to learn about and their learning was  then put on display in a special Showcase on Friday afternoon. 3/4A learned all about The Philippines, which fitted nicely with our Inquiry research on our World Explorers as Ferdinand Magellan fought against Lapu Lapu and died in The Philippines. 3/4 learned all about Morocco, which again fitted nicely with our Inquiry Unit, as one of the World Explorers we researched, Ibn Battuta was from Morocco.

Maths:

In Maths, we continue to work on NUMBER, NUMBER, NUMBER. We are seeing some excellent learning and connection-making in Maths. Our Times Table Ninja's are whipping through the belts and some of them will be no on their Black Belts in no time!

Literacy:

We are so proud of how the students are progressing in all areas of literacy.  Their spelling and writing have improved immensely since the beginning of the year, which is absolutely amazing!
