1/2 Classroom News

We have had another fantastic two weeks in Grade 1/2

Inquiry:

In Inquiry students conducted an experiment to demonstrate what happens when different materials are mixed together.

Yesterday we made a volcano. We made some playdough and shaped it like a volcano. We mixed some vinegar, bicarb soda and dishwashing liquid together and made it erupt. It was fun! - Sophie K

In Inquiry we made volcanoes. We made the body of the volcano out of playdough. We made it erupt by using dishwashing soap, bicarb soda and vinegar. It was soo cool!

We made volcanoes and they erupted. It was really fun. - Sam

We had to make playdough first and then we built it into a volcano shape. Then we put the ingredients in it to make it erupt. It was cool to watch it burst. - Remi

Home Readers:

Just an update on reading expectations! Readers are changed each Monday but can be changed more frequently if required. All students have a diary that will be checked and for each night of reading students will be rewarded 'Ronny Points'.  Decodable readers and other texts have been sent home with your child to read. If you have any questions please ask.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Miss Brereton, Mrs Cardillo and Miss Reid.
