Year 12

It has been a very successful Term 4 for the Year 12 cohort to complete a positive year all around.  We finished off with a range of events to conclude the year, these included:

• A formal lunch at the Langham Hotel in the city – thank you to Vici Petrovski for organising this fantastic event. The students dressed in semi-formal attire, and enjoyed a tour of the hotel, followed by a high-quality buffet lunch

• Year 12 Celebration Day – students embraced a ‘fancy dress’ theme and enjoyed a range of activities throughout the morning. These included a mindfulness session by Assistant Principal (Teaching & Learning) David Husk, an assembly with ‘fun’ awards, and a lunch together with year 12 teachers.

• Year 12 Wellbeing packs – thank you to Rachael Millsom (Mental Health Practitioner) and Juliet Bennie (Wellbeing Counsellor) for putting together these generous and informative packs for Year 12 students.

   

• Graduation dinner – A great night of celebration capped off the final event for the year 12 students, and their parents/guardians, family members, and staff. A huge thank you to Assistant Principal (Student Engagement & Wellbeing) Paul Meager and Student Engagement & Wellbeing Assistant Jo Newcombe for all their work in organising the event. Thank you also to the other staff who assisted in organising the event or took part in the student awards.

Congratulations to the year 12 award recipients, on their fine efforts of achievement. It was great to see the many talents of these students being recognised and celebrated.

The end of the year provides time to reflect on the year that has passed. I would like to extend a thank you of support to the parents and guardians of the year 12 students, for their support this year. 

A huge thank you to the year 12 teaching team of Ourania Dounias, Vici Petrovski and Cindi Carr, for their huge efforts in teaching, supporting and encouraging the year 12 students this year.

Finally, to the year 12 cohort of 2024.  I wish all of you the best of success in the future and would like to extend warm wishes over the Christmas period, and all the best for next year and beyond.
