As the 2024 school year draws to a close it is important to take the time to reflect on what has been an extremely busy year as well as acknowledge and celebrate the many achievements that makes our school a community that work together to achieve success.
VCE VM studies
This year was the first year that we soley offered VCE VM at our senior years. While this had its challenges, both staff and students were able to work together to ensure that all attending students were able to complete the requirements for their respective year level. Well done to all staff for their commitment to helping our students succeed.
Year 10
The Year 10 program provided many opportunities for students to explore new pathways and opportunities through the Trade Taster program at ONTTC and Whittlesea Tech excursions just to name a few. It has been pleasing to see growth and maturity throughout the year from our Year 10 students. I am confident that the hard work from the teachers has set our returning students up for success in Year 11.
Year 12 Celebrations
The year 12s scrambled across the line in time to fully enjoy their rites-of-passage celebrations in early term 4. Students dressed up on their last school day and enjoyed a charcoal chicken and pizza lunch on their last day at PLSC and then were treated to a lavish buffet lunch at the Langham Hotel to celebrate their year and completion of their secondary schooling. It was pleasing to see the students and staff be able to celebrate their achievements over the year.
This term was one of celebrations for our Year 12s. Their final days of secondary school was a time of excitement and celebration as students fulfilled their final requirements for their VCE-VM and VCAL Certificates. The Year 12s last day was celebrated with a fancy-dress theme where students dressed up in character and celebrated the end of their secondary schooling with a pizza lunch.
The annual Graduation Evening at Casa D’Abruzzo Club was also a huge success allowing students, families and staff an opportunity to come together and celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2024! A massive congratulations to the following award winners:
