              Another Exciting Year at Greenhills!

Welcome to another fantastic school year at Greenhills! As we embark on this new academic adventure, we’d like to take a moment to highlight what makes our school GREAT and how we’re nurturing a sense of connection and community across our school.

Connections at Greenhills:

 At Greenhills, we’re passionate about building strong connections—among our students, staff, and the wider community. Our Greenhills Get Set and Connect program is central to fostering these relationships. Through this program, we dedicate time to establishing routines and expectations, creating an environment where students feel safe, supported, and ready to thrive. Stay tuned for more details about this program in next week’s update!

Relationships – The Heart of Our Success:

At the core of our success are the relationships we cultivate. Our teachers prioritise getting to know each student personally and academically, ensuring they feel valued and understood. Regular check-ins allow us to support students’ social, emotional, and academic needs, creating trusted bonds that set the foundation for success. These relationships extend to the partnerships built between parents and staff. These relationships are integral in supporting student learning growth. 

Building Student Connections Through Teamwork:

In addition to strong teacher-student relationships, we emphasise connections between peers. Team building activities and collaborative group work offer students opportunities to strengthen friendships, experience teamwork, and develop strategies to navigate challenges, all while celebrating shared successes.

Community Engagement – A Partnership That Thrives:

We are incredibly grateful for the active involvement and support of our families. The partnership between home and school is one of Greenhills’ greatest strengths. From participating in events to contributing to committees, our families make a difference every day. This sense of collaboration does not go unnoticed and is appreciated by new families joining our community.

Monday Madness – Join the Fun!

Have you caught our principal team and staff in action during Monday Madness? Whether it’s dancing, limbo, juggling or fitness activities, these light hearted activities aim to spread joy and foster a sense of belonging. We’d love for you to join in—after all, even a small smile or moment of connection can make a big difference!

As always, our principal team is always available for any questions, concerns and feedback regarding your child, so please do not hesitate to reach out at any time to the appropriate person required (Janine - Prep to Year 2, Brad - Years 3 to 6).
