From the Principal

Can you believe the school year has come to an end? It's been an incredible year, filled with many wonderful achievements and memorable moments.

I hope you enjoy this final school newsletter for 2024 as we celebrate the exciting events that have happened in the last fortnight: School Concert, Foundation – Year 2 Swimming, Year 4 Doxa Camp, Whole School Transition Day, Year 6 Graduation and Celebration, Awards Assembly and the announcement of our 2025 Student Leaders.

To the Year 6 Graduates of 2024

As you begin the next chapter of your academic journey, remember to embrace and celebrate your unique qualities. See challenges as chances to grow and learn. Your potential is limitless, and as you step into the broader world, do so with confidence and purpose. It's okay to make mistakes and have moments of doubt but always remember to believe in yourself. As you leave Athol Road PS, be courageous and keep an open heart and mind to all the opportunities life has to offer. Education is a lifelong journey, and this is just the beginning. Keep exploring, stay curious and make a positive impact wherever you go. Congratulations once again, Year 6 graduates! May your future shine brightly, your dreams be daring, and your path be filled with joy and fulfillment. See page 6 for the highlights!

Awards Assembly

Congratulations to all our students who were honoured with a Dux Award, Most Improved Award or Encouragement Award during yesterday's special assembly. You should take great pride in your accomplishments throughout 2024. Each award, in its own way, highlights your strengths and efforts, serving as an inspiration to those around you. We recognise not just the outcome, but the hard work and determination that led to your success. See page 8 for the list of award recipients.

Congratulations to our newly appointed Student Leaders for 2025

Student leadership goes beyond simply holding a title; it's about working together with a positive attitude, a growth mindset, and upholding the RICH values that make our school community stand out. I have every confidence that our 2025 leaders will lead by example and help foster the vibrant, inclusive atmosphere that defines our school. I’m excited to watch your leadership journey unfold in the year ahead! See page 3 for the list of ARPS 2025 student leaders.

To the ARPS Community

Thank you to all the parents /carers for your positive partnership in 2024. I am truly thankful and appreciative of your support and the trust you place in our school and staff.

Together we have created a supportive school environment, a strong sense of community and provided the guidance, encouragement, and support all children need to thrive both academically and personally. I wish you all the best for a safe and happy holiday period. May the time you spend with family and friends be joyous and filled with all the things you enjoy!

Enjoy the festive and holiday season and see you in 2025!
