Meet our new Staff

Hi, I'm Lauren Eley although some of you will know me as Miss Ward. This year I am teaching art to some foundation and grade 1 classes. I will also be working in FS with Miss Kelly.
Where have I come from?
I have just come back from maternity leave and have been working at IPS since 2018
What can I tell you about myself?
I love going to the beach and reading books in my free time.
What football team do I barrack for?
I support Carlton (Go Blues!)

I have lived and worked in six different countries.
What am I looking forward to this year at IPS?
I'm looking forward to seeing all of the IPS students and staff again and getting to know all of our lovely new foundation students.
Ozlem Oflay (Mrs Oflay) and I am a Grade 4 Classroom Teacher.
Where have I come from? (i.e. previous school)
I have been teaching since 1999 across a wide variety of schools and demographics. Most recently, I have been working at IPS as a Casual Relief Teacher, as well as a Teacher/Librarian at the Victorian School of Languages. Last year I celebrated my 19th year of employment with VSL!
What can I tell you about myself?
I am a Mother of 3, and have a pet cat called Samba. My favourite hobby is to read books, and I enjoy spending time down the beach at my holiday house. As an avid traveller who loves to see and explore the world, last year I was fortunate enough to see the beauties of Turkey, Cyprus, and Greece.
What football team do I barrack for?
Carlton.
Something that not many people know about me is…
I am fluent in Turkish.
What am I looking forward to this year at IPS?
I am most looking forward to being able to continue my passion of educating and developing the lives and knowledge of students, in hopes that one day they can be the best versions of themselves.
Hi. I am Mr Roast (Paul to the parents) and I teach the wonderful 5R this year.
Previous Experience
After a thirty year career in commercial banking, I made the financially challenging, but personally rewarding, change to teaching in 2018. I taught at Boroondara Park Primary School for four years, and was a CRT at IPS last year.
Family
I am married with two children. Our daughter is a Primary School teacher and our son is a student at Deakin University. We have a cavoodle called Alfie.
Interests
I play competitive croquet for the Kew Croquet Club. Also, I am a passionate reader, and I swim regularly.
Originally from Essex UK, I support my hometown team, West Ham United; and I follow the mighty Hawks in the AFL.
Something that not many people know about me is...
I have appeared as a contestant on seven television quiz shows.

Being a part of the IPS community
My name is Eda Aslan or Mrs Aslan and I am a Grade 2 teacher this year at IPS.
Where have I come from? (i.e. previous school)
I am in my fourth year of teaching and have previously worked at a Supported Inclusion School (SIS) in the Northern suburbs. Last year, I found time to travel overseas while working as a relief teacher on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula.
What can I tell you about myself?
I enjoy reading, cooking, travelling, gardening and playing boardgames.
I have a cat named Alaska.
My favourite sport is soccer.

I barrack for the Magpies and Melbourne City FC.

The previous school I worked at was Blackburn Primary School. I have taught many different year levels.

Hello, my name is Carmen and I am the school psychologist at Ivanhoe Primary School this year.
Where have I come from? (i.e. previous school)
I have worked in many different school settings. Last year, I was at Viewbank Primary School.
What can I tell you about myself?
I enjoy reading, film and digital photography, and going for walks amongst nature. I have been engaging in more arts and crafts such as crocheting and painting. I had a go at painting cherries over the weekend 😊
