STEM News

Dear fellow scientists,
The STEM team would like to welcome everyone back after a joyful break to a fun filled exciting year ahead of learning and hands on experiments.
Prep students are learning important rules and skills for success in STEM. Students were able to explain what STEM is (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Students shared the iPad to scan a QR code for their learning. Watch this video on ergonomics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYvqHJ7FNAM
Grade 1 students are learning how to use digital technology to help their learning in STEM. Students are following instructions to use an iPad correctly to complete the STEM task and draw their favourite animal on their front page in my STEM workbook.
Grade 2 students are learning to identify Earth’s Natural resources and describe how humans use them in their lives. Students drew or wrote ways we use water.
Grade 3 are learning to predict and measure the temperature of different things in degrees Celsius. Students predicted the temperature of different things, used the correct units for temperature and measure the temperature using a thermometer. Watch this video on how to measure temperature: https://www.clickview.net/au/primary/videos/6689328/measuring-temperature
