Year 6 School Captains

Farewell from the 2024 School Captains:

We would like to thank Mrs Cramer, and the Principal Team for all of their support throughout the year. They’ve guided us through Assemblies and key events which gave us the confidence to do it ourselves.

We would also like to thank parents, teachers and the Kingswood community for all the ongoing help and support they’ve shown us.

We’ve enjoyed participating in events, such as the Junior Mayor Election, The Gymnasium Opening, meeting Mark Dreyfus and representing the school at the ANZAC service.

We were very excited to finish off the year by being part of the 2025 Leadership interviews, and having our final assembly together.

We would like to wish Kingswood’s future leaders every success and encourage them to take as many opportunities as possible.

We wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thank you and farewell Kingswood!

Asha, Aaron, Tysun and Giselle.

Poem by Aaron:

A NEW CHAPTER

When chosen as your school captain, I felt so much pride and glee,

I swore an oath to myself,

I’d be the best leader I could be.

With excitement and honour,

I stood up so tall,

Ready to lead,

Ready to give it my all.

In these halls of laughter,

we’ve shared our days,

through the ups and downs,

In so many ways.

To my friends and peers,

I stand here today,

with a heartfelt thank you,

as I part from this play

Each smile, each laugh,

A treasure to hold,

This journey we’ve made,

These memories are gold

Now High School awaits And new challenges to face,

But together we’ll rise

In our new place.

So here's to our future,

The worlds at our feet, Treasure these moments,

Bitter and sweet

With fond memories made,

And new ones to create,

This journey is ours,

lets step through that gate

So farewell, Kingswood, we’ll carry you within,

Our hearts are full of gratitude,

as our new chapters begin.
