What's On In 5/6

The year is quickly coming to an end, but our Grade 5/6 students are as busy as ever with plenty of fun and engaging activities to enjoy!

We’ve continued our buddy sessions with our youngest friends, the Foundation and Kinder students. Last week, we made the most of the beautiful weather by heading outdoors for a nature scavenger hunt. Our Grade 6s loved helping their Foundation buddies find items on the list, and we all enjoyed discovering parts of nature we don’t usually notice.

Over the past few weeks, our 5/6 students have been learning about the changes their bodies will experience during puberty through some fantastic workshops with Elephant Ed. These sessions have sparked valuable discussions, and we encourage parents to continue these conversations at home to help ensure your children feel supported and prepared for what’s ahead.

We’re also getting excited about our upcoming Bizarre Bazaar at the end of term! Students are working in teams to design and create products to sell to their peers, with all proceeds going to charity. Through this project, they’ve learned the importance of detailed planning and how to listen to their customers through market research.

As the year draws to a close, we’re focused on helping our students prepare for their next steps. Our Grade 5s are gearing up to become the school’s leaders next year, participating in a comprehensive leadership program to ensure they are ready to act as role models for younger students. Meanwhile, our Grade 6s are preparing for their Graduation and looking ahead to the exciting transition to high school. While we’ll miss this wonderful cohort, we’re confident they’ll thrive in their next adventure.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we wrap up another fantastic year in Grade 5/6!
