What's On In 1/2

Tabloid Sport

On your marks, get set, GO!  What a lovely morning we had.  The Grade 1s, 2s and Foundation came together to enjoy a morning of sports such as tunnel ball, hula hoops, skipping ropes and ball throwing skills.  It ended with a giant game of ‘Ultimate Rock, Paper and Scissors’. What a fabulous time was had by all!

Calendar

As the year draws to a close, and a countdown begins for holidays or Santa, the children have explored time in particular calendars. We have sung songs and learnt rhymes to help us remember how many days in the month.  We also explored the special events in each month (especially birthdays) and what happens in a leap year.  We debunked the theory that leap year was for frogs.😂

Crazy Hair Day

What a hoot! This was such a fun day. All the children look hilarious and slightly crazy with their amazing hair.  It was a great way to start our day.  Thank you to all the parents who put a lot of effort into creating such amazing styles and colours. The money raised went to charity.

Gardening

It is such a pleasure to go into the garden once a fortnight.  The last few weeks, the weather has been kind to us and we were able to water, plant some vegetables and do some weeding. We also spent time exploring and observing nature.  Ashleigh had created a scavenger hunt for the children.  We sat, we listened, we observed the colours, the sounds and the shapes found in nature.  To our delight, we found a nest where some baby lorikeets had hatched high up in a tree.  Thank you Ashleigh for providing us with such a wonderful program and experience this year !
