What's On In Foundation
Grade 6 Buddy Time!
Foundation students love catching up with their big buddies! We started off our session with Foundation students proudly sharing their information reports and tri-oramas. They have spent this term researching, writing, illustrating and creating in order to develop and share knowledge of an under the sea favourite!
In order to keep cool on a humid day, the Grade 6’s had the job of teaching their buddies the ancient art of origami. You guessed it, we made… fish, another under the sea friend! It took patience, persistence and precision! We certainly folded away to create a massive school of paper fish!
Under the Sea
We have really dived into our ‘Under the Sea’ unit this Term. We have been busy learning how to research, organise our ideas in categories and then create an information text. Our purpose is to teach our reader about our chosen animal. Our books even contain a contents page and labelled diagram.
We let our creativity flow when creating a 3-D habitat for our animal. We had to be sure to include shelter and food so our animal could survive!
