Kitchen garden

Christmas cooking and Scarecrows end our kitchen garden year. The kids are having a lot of fun making scarecrows, thank you to everyone for donating clothes. Hay Hay is my favourite scarecrow name so far!

Everyone was excited to end the year with Christmas cooking because it is desserts all round. We are making Christmas wonderlands with chocolate reindeers, snowmen and crumbly biscuit snow with gingerbread houses. Lots of fun constructing and collapsing houses! 

I have attached the recipes for anyone that would like to have a try. 

Thank you to everyone involved this year. I have really enjoyed watching the kids with all of our volunteers, especially chatting away at the dining table. 

It will be sad to say goodbye to our L4 children. We hope to include you next year and see you again cooking away in the kitchen. You did a great job this year in our very first kitchen garden group. I could not be prouder of all the recipes you tried and ate.
