APS -Community Events/Fundraising 

FAIR UPDATE 4 May 1 - 6pm

Our Fair is fast approaching........ The Fair will now start at 1pm so start with lunch and end with dinner!

The fair is 100% run by volunteers, and a big fundraiser for our school. We need donations and volunteers from the whole APS community.  If you're a new family to the school, we don't want you to feel overwhelmed by what is involved with the Fair or how you can help.  Speak to your Class Liaison or email the Fair Committee alphingtonps.cef@gmail.com we're always happy to have a chat.  :-)

VOLUNTEERING ON THE DAY

Huge thanks to those who registered their interest. We've used that scheduling information to create the Roster. You may need to log-n to nab your final timeslot for the day. Now open to ALL PARENTS, regardless of whether or not you have registered, you can sign up with the link above. Any questions email the Fair committee  alphingtonps.cef@gmail.com.  You are also welcome to team up and get a crew together, lots of different ways to be involved!  

Nb. Feedback from past volunteers and stallholders means we've streamlined the process so you can manage your own availability and also updated to 1hrly time slots (for people wanting to help across multiple stalls and support with childcare etc.)

WE NEED EXCELLENT QUALITY DONATIONS

Excellent quality = If you wouldn’t want your child to buy it for $5, don’t donate it.   The donations room is starting to look good but we still need more to make the Fair a successful day.   

MYSTERY BAGS

Seeking things kids will find fun!  Parents might not, but let's face it, these are a hit with the kids!  

Art/craft supplies, stationary, nail polish, jewellery (bracelets, beads, necklaces, clips), oshies/figurines, stickers/stamps, balls/magnets/keyrings/gadgets/party bag fillers, individually wrapped treats/small games/toys.

SILENT AUCTION

The Silent Auction website will go live in 10 days so the APS Community can start bidding online. We will share the link soon.......There are some amazing items on offer.

JAMS & PRESERVES

Do you LOVE making preserves, savoury or sweet, or know someone that does, get a crew together and have a cooking session. We need more people involved in this stall so if you're keen email Monique - Moniqueeggenhuizen@gmail.com 

These sell really well on the day so any help is appreciated, it can be as little as donating 1 jar of your homemade delights.

Please put your books in the marked sections in the donations room (portable)

2ND HAND CLOTHES

We are looking for excellent quality kids and adults clothing. (limit of 10 items per family) No stained or marked clothing.

OTHER ITEMS

The donations room is still accepting trashless treasure donations, stuffed toys for Frankentoys.

We'll have more info next week, until then, tidy out those cupboards, bring the donations in and don't forget to volunteer!
