Reminders:
A Big Thank You!
The Prep team would like to extend our gratitude to all the parents who volunteered for our excursion to the Collingwood Children's Farm. The children had a wonderful time!
Homework
Well done to the families continuing to set up strong homework routines at home. We have noticed an increase in the number of students completing their one lesson of Mathseeds a week.
Toys and Stickers
It is important that your child's toys and stickers remain at home and not be brought to school. They can be a distraction to learning and can be lost or broken at break times. We would appreciate your support in making sure your child does not bring toys or stickers to school.

Homework
Establishing a solid homework routine can set your child up for great success in their schooling. In Year 1, it is an expectation that our students read 4 nights a week and that it is documented in their student diary. We would like students to bring their diary in daily so that we can check this off.
Every week, we expect our students to complete one Mathseeds lesson. A homework week begins on a Sunday. During the week, students are to complete one lesson. We ask parents to oversee the use of Mathseeds, as we have noticed some students completing more than one lesson.
If you have any questions related to Mathseeds, please email your child's teacher.
iPad
In Year 1, using iPads is integral to our student's learning. Please support your child in making sure their iPad comes to school fully charged. We do not want any child missing out on the educational activities that involve using the devices.
Reminders:
Homework
It has been lovely to see so many faces on our Mathseeds posters each week. This means that your child is applying their learning from school. Thank you for your support in instilling a strong homework routine for your child.
The expectation is 1 lesson of Mathseeds completed a week (Sunday - Saturday). Please remember that Sunday starts the new week.
The other homework expectation is reading 4 nights for 15 minutes. This is to be written in your child's diary and signed. Diaries should come to school every day.
Toys
It is important that your child's toys remain at home and not be brought to school. They can be a distraction to learning and can be lost or broken at break times. We would appreciate your support in making sure your child does not bring toys to school.

Charged Devices
Students should always come to school with a fully charged device. As Week 7 is Testing Week, please remind students to be extra vigilant about charging their devices in the evening.
Homework Diaries
As we approach the end of Term 2, please remember to keep up Mathletics, reading and signing diaries every evening. AR targets are due in the next couple of weeks. It is suggested to check in with your child to see how they are tracking.
Swimming Lessons Week 10
Students will be making a splash at MSAC in Week 10. This may be a good time to check if your child has bathers and goggles for the lessons.
