Year 4 student reflections

Today was the day. It was the day of my First Eucharist! I was completely prepared so why would I be nervous? Once we got all ready we were silently standing outside of Jesus and God’s home. My heart was racing as me and my partner were walking down the aisle with all our family and friends waiting and staring like we were about to do the most special thing on planet earth!

Day of My Eucharist. It was the exciting day of communion. How I felt, was scared and excited when I got to the hall. Everyone greeted me with a warm smile. Then Mrs Tasevski and Miss Kelly told us to get into roll order and then find our partner in church. When it came up to the offertory I feared that I wouldn't like it but I did.

I walked up to Jesus and took the water up to the Father. I did a spectacular job!

Waking up with a transforming day ahead! My Holy Communion day! I felt thrilled to come into the Church as well as eating the blessed body of Christ. In my suit, thinking will my suit keep me warm? Walking to the back of the church and entering the noisy crowd made me nervous.

Before the Mass I had breakfast, which was pancakes. After that I went on my Ipad for like 2 hours. I was chatting with my cousin then I had lunch, after that my Mum did my hair which took forever. I put my dress and shoes on and we drove to the hall. Grade 4 walked to the Church. I walked into the church 2 by 2 while  the Lord is my Shepherd played in the background. I felt thrilled but horrified. We stood for a while then we got to sit.  we listened to the First reading by Miss Kelly.  She must have been worried that she would make  a mistake with the names of places but she did wonderfully.

My heart is about to burst out of my chest, as I walk down the aisle of the church filled with loads of families and friends. I was sitting in the pew feeling overwhelmed to see the sight of all the people watching their human I listened to the readings of Miss Kelly, Mrs Tasevski, Mason & Sebastian which were  read so clearly.

It's time! The Sacrament just started, here comes the butterflies in my tummy. I walk down the aisle trying not to trip over my dress. Everything is so petrifying and exciting at the same time. I go down to my seat (luckily I don't sit down like the teachers told us not to do!) I'm looking around the Church seeing if my Parents are here, in the distance I see my Mum waving, all the Joy fills my heart! Father Dishan starts talking already. My legs are getting tired, I look around again swiftly and I see my Pop. He smiles at me with pride.
