Principal's Welcome

Dear Families,
Autumn is well and truly visible! The mornings are starting to be a lot colder, but we are still blessed with sunshine towards the middle of the afternoon. The leaves on our trees are starting to show their true beauty with rust, red and orange colours filling the landscape. We are truly lucky to have such beautiful surroundings for our children to be spending their days.
On Sunday, we witnessed our Year 4's receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion. This is such a special sacrament as every time we attend Mass and participate in the Liturgy of the Eucharist we are taking part in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Our Year 4 students are to be commended for the way in which they participated i this special day. We thank our Year 4 Teachers and Co educators for the way in which they have prepared and continue to prepare our Year 4 students. We thank our supporting staff who attended on this day as well as those students who weren’t making their Holy communion but still came to support their peers. We thank families and friends for being there to witness this special day also.
The Year 4's have written some absolutely beautiful reflections about their day. We have included parts of some of the student's reflections under the Religious Education page. Year 4 families, you will have the opportunity to read all of the pieces once they are published. Well done Year 4 students!
Let us continue to pray for our Year 4 students , that God may always be by their side.
Heavenly Father,
we thank you for the gift of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,
who promised to stay with us always, until the end of the age.
Reawaken our wonder at His presence
in the Most Holy Eucharist.
May our hearts burn within us
as He opens the Scriptures and breaks the bread.
Some reminders:
MORNING SUPERVISION
We have noticed more and more students arriving at school at 8:15 without any supervision. For the safety of our students, please remember that supervision commences at 8:30am
PICK UP PROCEDURES
At times we have noticed parents coming into the school building wanting to speak to teachers. Please note that teachers have specific time allocated for meetings, phone calls, etc, therefore cannot meet every night. If you would like to meet with a teacher to discuss your child, please email them to make an appointment. Please note that all year 3 and 4 students will be dismissed via the external classroom doors rather than through the shared space.
OSH CLUB: Out of School Hours provider
We are very excited to announce that from Term 3 we will be using OSH CLUB as our out of school hours providers. OSH Club will be able to provide before and after school care during the terms, care on school closure days for our families that need it as well as working towards establishing a holiday program for term breaks. One of our biggest requests has been to have two educators on at all times regardless of numbers, which is something that OSH CLUB can now provide. Where they can't, all measures will be taken to communicate with us and our families.
OSH CLUB will be hosting an evening information session for our school community. Here you will learn more about applying for the government subsidy for out of school care, registering for the service, after school activities that are provided for the students and much more. Please look out for an invitation in the coming weeks.
We thank EXTEND who has been providing care for our students for the last few years. EXTEND will be in touch with families who regularly use the service. EXTEND will continue to be with us until the end of term 2.
STUDENT ABSENCES/LATE ARRIVAL/EARLY DEPARTURE
The AUDIRI notification informs the School of the students whereabouts and reason for not being present at school. To ensure the children's safety whilst present at school, parents are required to SIGN in/out from the Passtab system (ipad) in the front office.
Please stay tuned to upcoming School events via our live Calendar on Audiri.
Have a wonderful week ahead.
