Holy and Great Week is a significant part of the faith and worship life of the Orthodox Church. It is however, not just a memory of events or cultural celebration that involves baking, sharing gifts and culminates in a feast but rather each and every Holy Week we walk with Christ to Golgotha and are renewed by His Resurrection. It is a time for us to remember, live and experience but also to be transformed by the experience of the great love that Christ showed us.

As we approach this week, it is an opportunity for us to attend the various services. We commence our preparation with Palm Sunday. We invite all of you and your families to help and participate in the making of palm crosses on Lazarus Saturday in the School Cafeteria. For your edification we have provided you with a brief summary of the days of Holy Week as well as the Programme of Services. Please be aware that parking will be very busy during Holy Week.

On behalf of our Archbishop Makarios, our Bishop Kyriakos and our Parish and Community I wish you a blessed Holy Week. I look forward to seeing you all at church so together we can proclaim “Christ is Risen” ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ ΑΝΣΕΣΤΗ! Καλή Ανάσταση – Blessed Easter to all
