Term 2 Week 3

Another week where fixtures were heavily affected by the weather, it was fantastic to get as many games played as possible. Many of our rugby teams had their first hit out and will certainly benefit from the run in the rain.

Friday night saw three rugby fixtures played at Andrew Petrie Oval under lights against Cranbrook School, with 16A, First and Second XV all getting a bus straight from school to the ground for Friday night fixtures. Cranbrook proved too strong on the night but there were many positives to be taken from all three teams. On Saturday, the U13 and U15 boys demonstrated just how strong their age groups are proving to be, with big wins over Cranbrook and not a loss across the two age groups!

It was a very successful weekend of football on SPC 2, with SPC being successful in all fixtures at home. The First XI winning 7-0, Second XI winning 5-0, Third XI 8-0 and the Fourth XI with a come from behind victory winning 2-1 over St Spyridon College. The 16A boys also bounced back for a win in the wet. Well done to all boys who braved the weather to take on the opposition over the weekend. Best of luck to those teams that missed out on games, I am sure you will all make up for lost time and be raring to go this weekend for fun in the sun!

NSWCIS Diving

Last week three boys competed at the NSWCIS Diving Championships and all did extremely well. Sebastian Natalegawa of Year 7 placed first in Springboard in his age group, Vincent Pappalardo placed first in Springboard as well as first in Platform in his age group, and Anthony del Popolo placed third in Springboard. Great effort from all three boys!
