Level Two Swimming

Next week (week 5)  the Year One and Two students are off to the pool for their school swimming lessons. Swimming will run all week from Monday to Friday. Students are required to come to school with their bathers on under their school clothes. They will need to do this each morning to ensure they are ready as soon as we get to the pool. They will also need to bring a small bag (additional to their school bag) containing:

  • a towel
  • goggles
  • a plastic bag for their wet clothes
  • a change of underwear to get into after the pool

A big thank you to the parent helpers who have offered to come with us to the pool!

Year Two Mont De Lancey Excursion

In Week 8, Year Two students will be visiting Mont De Lancey which is a historical homestead located in Wandin North. Students will need to arrive at school at 8:45am on the day of their excursion, please ensure your students are on time to avoid them missing out!

On the excursion we will visit the museum, watch a Blacksmith at work, look through an old house and play some olden day games. We will attend an olden day school on the premises with a very strict teacher!

Over the next couple of weeks, please start thinking about what your child can wear to this excursion because we are asking for all children and parent helpers to be dressed up in olden days clothes eg. shawl, long dress/ skirt, shirt (with braces), shorts or knee length socks with shoes if you don't want to wear boots. It will be cold so remember to dress warmly. Please refer to the attached document for examples of what students can wear.

Remember to pack a water bottle, snack and lunch are required too in a small backpack.
