Gospel Reflection
The Most Holy Trinity
Summary
This passage sits at the heart of the Christian message. It speaks about the depth of God’s love for the whole world and His desire for relationship, not separation. It reminds us that Jesus was sent as a gift—an invitation into hope, life, and trust. The focus is not on judgement, but on being drawn into God’s love through belief.
Scripture – John 3:16-18
God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son. Anyone who believes in Him will not be lost but will have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but to save the world through Him. Anyone who believes in Him is not judged, but anyone who does not believe has already been judged, because they have not believed in God’s only Son.
Reflection
At the centre of this reading is love—love that reaches every person, every family, every situation. God’s love is not something we have to earn; it is freely given.
Jesus is sent not to condemn or point out faults, but to restore and bring life. For families, this can be a powerful reminder of how we are called to treat one another—with patience, forgiveness, and care.
Belief here is more than just words; it’s about trust. It’s choosing, each day, to live in a way that reflects hope, compassion, and openness to God. In family life, that might look like supporting one another, offering second chances, and staying connected even when things are difficult.
- Where do we see signs of love in our family each day?
- What does it mean for us to trust in God together?
- How can we be a family that brings life and encouragement to others?
- When is it hard to show love or forgiveness? What can help us in those moments?
- How can we remind each other that we are loved by God?
Prayer
Loving God, Thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus, and for the love You pour into our lives each day. Help our family to trust in You, to care for one another with kindness and patience, and to be a source of love to those around us. May our home be a place of peace, hope, and welcome.
Amen.
St. Kilian’s Feast Day – July 16
We are looking forward to celebrating our St Kilian’s Feast Day on Wednesday July 16! The day will begin with Mass at 9:15am with Fr Junray as we come together in faith and gratitude as a school community.
Following Mass, students will take part in activities led by Kaboom Kidz Sportz, a program focused on teamwork, participation, inclusion, and fun through engaging games and activities.
Our Feast Day is always a wonderful opportunity to celebrate what makes St Kilian’s special — our faith, our relationships, and our strong sense of community. We look forward to a joyful day filled with connection, laughter, and school spirit.
Class Masses
Each Friday, one of our classes attends the 12:10pm parish Mass at St Kilian’s Church, with our Pastoral Care Group also attending the First Friday Annointing Mass each month.
Students are encouraged to actively participate in the Mass through roles such as readers, altar servers, and bringing forward the gifts. These experiences help students grow in confidence and deepen their understanding of the Mass and Catholic traditions.
This initiative is also a valuable way of continuing to strengthen the connection between our parish and school communities, while encouraging students to take an active role in faith and community life.
