Blackwood Bike Camp

What an incredible experience for our students on this year’s Alpine Bike Camp! 

Over two riding days, 7 students completed an amazing 100km along sections of the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail through Victoria’s beautiful alpine region. Throughout the camp students built resilience, independence, teamwork and confidence while taking on a huge personal challenge. 

The experience went far beyond just riding bikes, with students helping load and unload bikes, set up tents or keep cabins clean and support one another throughout the trip. Along the trail students developed fantastic communication skills, calling out hazards, signalling when slowing down and encouraging each other along the way. 

It was also fantastic to see students build friendships with students from other schools and create some amazing memories together. A huge congratulations to all students involved on such a fantastic achievement!
