Mathematics

In Stage 1 we are learning to add numbers using different strategies and reading and writing number sentences that are equal. We have been using ten frames, numicons, counters and MAB blocks to help us. We are continuing to work on recalling of numbers before and after a given number.  

Writing

In our Literacy Block we have been focusing on writing complex sentences and using noun groups to add more detail when writing. To do this we have been reading the story Mallee Sky by Jodie Toering and Tanya Harricks. We used the pictures from the story to support our Big Write.

Visual Arts 

After our Big Write we created some landscape paintings depicting the dry landscapes.
