Dear Parents and Friends of St Brigid’s,
What a lovely celebration we had last Friday to celebrate the Sacred Heart Mass with Fr Ignatious and the parishioners. Our children enjoyed the walk to Church and were so very reverent in the Mass. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the last song and they were so enthusiastic with the moves that went with the song! The parishioners loved seeing the children and really enjoyed the last song.
Who would have thought after Monday’s beautiful weather that we would have to cancel the Athletics Day on Tuesday. But, I am so glad we did - what a horrible day Tuesday was! Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to completing our Athletics Day next Friday 21st June.
We will send out an Operoo shortly asking for parent helpers for next Friday.
We have our Term 2 Celebration of Learning on Monday 24th June. We have tweaked it a little bit so all students will be in their own rooms so parents can see the wonderful work they have done this term. The Celebration of Learning will begin at 2.15pm and conclude at 3.00pm. Please note we ask that you do not take your child/ren home early as they enjoy the opportunity to talk to other parents about their work. Children will need to be at school also to pack up their work after the Celebration of Learning has taken place.
We had Kelly Nash join us on Tuesday and Wednesday night to present Body Education to our F-Year 6 students and parents. As always Kelly presents in a fun and relevant manner to make sure our students and parents feel comfortable talking to each other about their bodies. Thank you to all the families that attended the night - especially Tuesday night with the weather being a bit wild and windy.
Our school Trivia Night is on Saturday night. The staff have already got their thinking caps on and definitely don’t want to be on the bottom of the ladder this year! We are looking forward to seeing you all there and may the best team win!
We have had a lot of illness circulating and our thoughts are with our families who are really feeling it. If your child is unwell, please keep them at home to stop the spread of sickness. If a child presents to sickbay with sickness during the day, families will be notified and asked to come and collect them.
Please note our School Tour Dates from now until the end of the year. Please let families and friends that you know who are deciding on schools for their children to come in and have a tour. If these dates do not suit you please call Tracey in the office to arrange a time that suits you and your family.
