Community Engagement
Thank you to those of you who joined Wednesday’s online discussion to review the ideas and suggestions that were shared during our previous Parent Association meetings. We explored some of our next steps which included:
- Hosting information sessions about what learning looks like in the school
- Providing opportunities for families to come together
- Holding regular second hand uniform sales and sausage sizzles
- Reviewing and refining the role of class representatives and ways of communicating with each other.
We will be looking for volunteers to assist with some of these activities so please look out for further information via Compass announcements.
Cold Weather
The winter weather is now upon us so please remember to provide enough warm clothes for your children. It is also a timely reminder to label school uniforms and check lost property regularly.
Student Achievements
Our students continue to amaze me with their extra curricular achievements, and I would like to celebrate these with the broader community. I invite you to share any achievements with me via mount.view.ps@education.vic.gov.au so that we can include them in future editions of the newsletter. Please provide a brief description of the activity and include a photo if this is suitable.
I was so happy to see Bryan, one of our prep students, proudly wearing a medal that he received from Karate. This was awarded to him for his focus and hard work and he told me how much he loves going to these classes. Congratulations Bryan!
