headspace

Headspace Schools & Communities, mental health education program delivers free mental health education workshops to secondary school communities across Australia. Workshops can be facilitated onsite and/or online. For more information about the program or to book sessions please contact MHEP@headspace.org.au

LivingWorks

An option for suicide prevention skills training for schools - LivingWorks provides fully funded state-wide free suicide prevention skills training in NSW and this has been extended to June 2024. The full suite of LivingWorks suicide first aid training programs is available for free to all NSW communities including all high schools, sporting clubs, parents and carers, NGOs and more. Be You consultants support schools by helping identify current strengths and areas for further development to build a mentally healthy community and they also provide guidance to relevant Be You tools and resources to support progress towards goal setting and action.  Parli-Flicks Short Film Award 2024

The Award is open to Years 5 to 12 students in NSW.  Students create a one-minute short film on this year’s theme: If you were a Member of Parliament, what is the one law that you would want to pass?  

 

Entries close 26 July 2024  

The shortlisted finalists will be invited to an awards night at the Parliament of NSW in Sydney, where the Overall Winner will be announced. Regional finalists will be provided with travel and accommodation assistance for this purpose. The Overall Winning entry will receive a $500 prize and a trophy. The shortlisted entries will receive a $100 prize and a medal.

Family Connect and Support

Family Connect and Support is a FREE and voluntary referral service that links families caring for children aged 0-17 with local support services and community resources.

 

We have Practitioners who are ready to work with Families in the Armidale, Guyra, Uralla and Walcha area’s immediately and making a referral is easy!

 

Families can self-refer by calling 1300 006 480  or by popping into the office located at 24 Moore Street Armidale.

 

FCS provides services across New England and has practitioners based in Inverell, Moree, Tenterfield, Armidale and Tamworth who provide outreach to surrounding communities.
