SACSA Cross Country

After much anticipation, our cross-country team competed yesterday against other SACSA schools from around the state. The weather and venue were perfect, and our students all represented our school and themselves proudly.

Well done to all competitors. A special mention to Layla Dew (3rd in age-group) and Isabelle Ormrod (3rd in age-group), while our school picked up 2nd in the teams' event thanks to Layla Stone, Isabelle Ormrod and Zara Stanley.

Congratulations! A big thank you to all parents who volunteered on the day.

U8s GS Nets

The boys ran hard this week with only 6 players. They had a quick start then Modbury evened the score. We worked together down the court for a good lead and finished with 3 minutes of strong defence to hold the win. Chase had a standout effort with defence and making a free throw, and some good rebounds from Ezekiel.

Last week vs Prescott Lightning it was a high scoring game with the kids all playing a good team effort for a 33-25 point win putting them to the top of the ladder for the first time. Well done! Proud of your grit, determination and dedication which has led to big improvement from last season.

Congratulations to the GS Rockets for their first win against the Pedare Slammers last week 24-20!

It's been a difficult competition moving up to the 10ft rings against players bigger than us but all players have worked hard as a team and on their offence and defence skills. Our scorers last week were Elijah, Jonte, Hunter and Kia. Patrick, Inara and Will showed great defensive skills.
