A Day in May
Tuesday 21st May marked our annual Day in May - a celebration and commemoration of the life of much loved former ENPS student Marcus Rosin. On May 15th 2014 at age nine, this beautiful young boy sadly lost his courageous five year battle with cancer.
Every year for a Day in May, our Junior School Council and school community take action by raising funds to support research into new treatments for children with cancer. This occasion that holds such a special place all of our hearts, and Tuesday lunchtime was full of colourful hair, lolly bags, the banging of drums, colouring competitions and splashes of bright yellow on students and staff across ENPS.
This year we raised an amazing grand total of $1753.20. All money raised will be donated to the Marcus Rosin Fund who support the Children’s Cancer Foundation’s research at the Children’s Cancer Centre at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
A heartfelt thank you to Marisa Rosin, our JSC members and staff for planning and assisting on the day, and to our parents and carers who donated lollies, coloured hairspray and their time to help pack lolly bags. It was wonderful to have so many of our parents, carers, students and staff getting behind this special day. We thank our community for their ongoing support and we appreciate everyone supporting this very important cause.
