Health and Wellbeing 

As part of the Who We Are unit, the Year Twos are inquiring about the importance of mindfulness and now have a better understanding of ways to improve their mental health through such activities as:

  • Meditating
  • Yoga
  • Reading
  • Mindful colouring in
  • Playing with pets
  • Going for a walk
  • Playing board games
  • Listening to music
  • Fishing
  • Playing with friends

The students are gaining a better understanding of how to have a balanced lifestyle with regards to diet, exercise, sleep and mindfulness.

 

Here are some Year Two students taking part in a yoga session in the classroom before doing some mindful colouring in while listening to relaxing music.
