School Captains

Welcome back everyone.

These couple of weeks have been extremely busy, with our Year Threes to Sixes heading off to Athletics Day, and our Year Fives going to Sovereign Hill. We also hope that everyone made the most of the Student Free Day on Monday, followed by A Day In May - an ongoing tradition at ENPS, in memory of Marcus Rosin, a previous student at ENPS who unfortunately lost his life to an ongoing battle against cancer.

Athletics Day was a lot of fun! The Year Fives and Sixes went last Monday and the Threes and Fours went the day after. Students had the opportunity to compete across various events including discus, sprints, long jump, triple jump, hurdles, shot-put and more. Congratulations to the winning house Baan, and we hope everyone had a blast! As School Captains, we would also like to give a big shout out to the House Captains for displaying exceptional qualities as a role models and leaders at Athletics Day.

The following day, the Year Fives were on their way to Sovereign Hill. Sovereign Hill is in Ballarat, where they participated in various activities to give them a better understanding of the Gold Rush and how our country has been shaped and impacted by this major event in Australian history. This is all part of their How The World Works unit that they have been learning in school.

On Tuesday, it was a Day In May! On this day, we raise money that is sent towards the Marcus Rosin Foundation, as we had a student, Marcus Rosin, who unfortunately passed away from cancer a ten years ago. Students were asked to bring a gold coin donation to participate in various activities, and wear a splash of yellow to raise awareness of childhood cancer. We're sure we all loved the vibrance and excitement of getting our hair sprayed!

Last but not least, our Year Sixes had Interschool Sport today, as we faced off against Essendon Primary School. We were all very excited to be back playing after our bye last week. Good job to everyone in Year Sixes for participating, despite the outcomes. As for us, as School Captains, we can’t wait to get back to speaking at assembly!

Once again, a big thank you to the Year Fives who displayed exceptional Leaders in the Making qualities and stepping up for us to host our assemblies.

We hope everyone has a great few weeks and we can’t wait to see everyone back at school next week.

From your School Captains,

Harry and Saanvi
